Lady of Leisure with stuffy head

Not having Bryceton around I am a lady of leisure ...NOT.
The past few days I thought I was suffering from allergies. Well this morning left no doubt that it is actually a head cold & or sinus thing I have. I felt miserable. I could hardly open my eyes. Nevertheless, I took the opportunity of not having to work at Open Classroom to go through the huge pile of papers on my desk and make all those asinine phone calls that you either shouldn't have to make or that you put off making cause you shouldn't have to make. YUCK. About 1/2 way through I really started feeling better and felt really great about doing all of it. So great that I stopped at 3/4 of the way through :-(
I won't be too hard on myself cause here is a list of what I did get done:
Called Ventura Coast Imaging to make sure they can do a Gastrograffin enema xray instead of the barium. They say yes but the Dr.'s orders are for barium.

Called Dr. S's office to have them re-fax the enema x-ray order to read gastrograffin. Speaking of which this is the test Nethan will be having.

Called the stupid ass Dentist Office to tell them I was NOT past due with the 26.42$ because that appointment in December was to replace the filling they had not replaced correctly.

Wrote a letter to Nationwide requesting a review of their denial of a claim for a Celiac Panel for Nethan. Nationwide is saying it wasn't one of their covered PPO providers. Hmmm well the sign outside said it was a CHLA lab. The lab (not CHLA) had already sent me a letter letting me know that many insurance companies didn't cover the celiac panel.. of course this was done AFTER the blood test had already been drawn and of course it was necessary, right? After all it was one of their PPO Drs that requested it and sent me to the lab downstairs. So gee let's see, I pay hundreds of dollars a month for PPO insurance so that I can then go to a PPO Dr who requests a test that either isn't covered by insurance or who sends me to CHLA lab that isn't covered? Yep this is just what you need when you pay for medical insurance and have an ill baby.

Next e-mailed the Prometheus Lab informing them I had requested a review of the claim and asking them why it said Dr. Nakamura was the provider and why they used CHLA as a front if they didn't accept the insurance that CHLA accepts. Well no matter really, I kind of laughed the whole way through the letter and e-mail because the lab is not going to get any more out of me than a co-pay and I will definitely pursue everything I can with Nationwide if they don't cover that test. It really does become more than the $290 that I don't have and don't want to charge on a credit card.

Next called Fleet credit card bastards cause I thought the new credit card I had opened with a transfer balance was supposed to be 0.0%. I mean I moved a $1000 from an interest rate of 4% to 0% to just open the darn thing. Well ends up they are laughing quite heartily literally at my expense, the fine print was that the transferred balance is at 10.99% and that you have to go a full cyle AFTER having paid off the transferred balance to get 0% on purchases. Rat bastards. That ought to be illegal. SOBs I will get them I called for the pay off balance and paid via the internet to have a ZERO balance before the due date.
Sometime during the morning I spoke with my mom and Bryceton about how things were going and yet my beloved Treo 600 kept dropping the call. My phone has been doing this so much lately that I really feel like I am in a 3rd world country. Not to mention I realized I had not harassed them lately about replacing my phone because the screen is funky. So I called Sprint and was informed the dropped call thing is probably the handset and so I would need to purchase a new phone to be shipped to me and then return the defective one. Great... charge another 600$ for something else that wasn't my fault. Then call and harass the other part of Sprint as they had never credited my home phone for transferring of my long distance to them. Which of course now realize that FREE 50 minutes is really not free as you have to pay taxes on it and so it ends up being more expensive than the plan I switched it from...

Continue through the morning throwing away papers I should have thrown away a long time ago. Manage to help Nethan through a little baby work out with Tummy Time and time in the bouncy chair. He still has not pooped a considerable amount and his tummy is really distended. I now agonize back and forth over whether I should go ahead and give him a liquid suppository or to just give another dose of mineral oil tonight. Decide since there isn't fecal soiling that maybe another really good dose of mineral oil will help him along. Isn't life wonderful?

Also manage to call Ameritrade which I have been meaning to do for a long time since they are charging me a ridiculous amount for a quarterly maintenance fee. Of course learn that I need to liquidate my position to transfer it into an IRA account. Well that just seems like far more energy and time than I really have so I just manage to log in to see that if I liquidate my MAT with the ridicuous maintenance fee I will end up within pennies of where I started out in 2000!

See this really is all just off the top of my head that I accomplished! I also managed to read a few blogs and type a few emails as well. Not to mention my daily dose of terrify myself and over research all the nasty things it could be that Nethan has...Actually looking back over this it really was a day of leisure... how else can I explain still being in my PJs?

I still have not decided whether to keep this blog and spend the money or to just go back to the other one so I am going to just copy all of this into the other one...
